So what's all the fuss these days about turmeric? Well, let me explain!
One tablespoon of ground turmeric contains just over 4 grams of carbohydrates, plus many minerals such as manganese, phosphorus and potassium. Turmeric can also be used treat inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, and is currently being researched for its use in cancer prevention and treatment.

How to Make Roasted Turmeric Chicken Wings
If the wings aren't already prepared, use some poultry shears to divide the wings into wingettes, drumettes, and tips. Discard the tips.
In a Ziploc bag, add some olive oil and ground turmeric.
NOTE: Working with turmeric can be messy, and it can stain. Make sure you use gloves, tongs, and anything else to protect your skin, nails, and surfaces! If you do get any stains, check out these top tips to remove them.
Add the wings to the bag, seal it, and massage the oil and turmeric into the chicken. Line a baking sheet with kitchen foil and place a non-stick baking rack over the top. Empty the wings onto the rack and discard the bag. Use tongs to space the wings out on the rack, and season the chicken with salt and pepper.
Roast in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the wings have reached an internal temperature of 165F.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. You might like to provide napkins and hand wipes to reduce the chance of staining!
